- ➤ One lane on Cape Fear Memorial Bridge remains closed as crews repair a railing that was damaged in a recent crash and drivers are advised to use caution. WECT
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ The 8th Annual Beer, Bourbon and BBQ Festival takes place on March 14 at Live Oak Bank Pavilion at Riverfront Park. Festival-goers will enjoy tastings, live performances, hog pickin’ every other hour, and pie-eating contests — free souvenir bags go to those wearing green. Port City Daily
- ➤ Artist Milton Gore Jr. will be honored with the Celestial Visionary Award at an invitation-only reception on March 1 in Wilmington + the event, organized by Black Arts Alliance and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, will feature his surreal portrait paintings of African American subjects. WECT
