- ➤ The Wilmington Symphony Orchestra will perform with Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Tift Merritt — a special guest — at Cape Fear Community College’s Wilson Center. WECT
- ➤ The Wilmington Symphony Orchestra will perform with Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Tift Merritt at Cape Fear Community College’s Wilson Center on Saturday, March 14 at 7:30 p.m. Music Director Peter Askim will lead the orchestra in a program mixing classical pieces + modern songs inspired by kintsugi. - ➤ North Carolina’s ozone season begins in March, with daily air quality forecasts from the Division of Air Quality running until Oct. 31. Forecasts will monitor ozone and fine particulate matter levels for 91 counties (plus two mountain zones) to help residents manage health risks. WECT

- ➤ The DEQ will enforce new sheepshead regulations on March 1, requiring a 14-inch minimum size and limiting recreational anglers to five fish per day, with commercial operations facing tiered limits. The changes come after increased harvests and aim to simplify measurements for similar species. WWAY
- ➤ Attorney General Jeff Jackson announced a $100 million settlement with Walmart over misleading pay practices in its Spark Driver Program; North Carolina drivers will receive about $2 million and Walmart must change its practices with 10 years of annual FTC reports. WWAY
