- ➤ Mt. Calvary Center is hosting a free food distribution event today in Wilmington to help community members access essential supplies. WECT
- ➤ Wilmington will host a busy St. Patrick's Day weekend with a downtown parade and charity Lo Tide Run at Carolina Beach on Saturday, along with concerts, plays and festivals from Friday to Sunday. Wilmington Star-News
- ➤ Cape Fear River Watch returns with its oyster roast fundraiser, Sip & Shuck, this Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. at The Alley at The Cargo District (tickets cost $75 and include 20 oysters, two local beers, and live music) with limited availability. WECT
- ➤ Students at Bradley Creek Elementary and Sunset Park Elementary received free shoes Tuesday through a partnership among Carolina Panthers, Samaritan’s Feet and the Dave and Nicole Tepper Foundation — local athletes helped fit students and led them through a Panther Cathead tunnel run. WECT

- ➤ ILM handled 1.8M passengers this decade — more than double the figures from 10 years ago — and announced about $250M in improvements including a new curb redesign, parking deck, and runway resurfacing. - ➤ Belville Mayor Chuck Bost was unanimously appointed to the Eagles Island Nature Park board (which protects 2,000 acres along the Cape Fear River) to lead conservation and explore links with Belville’s Riverwalk to block commercial projects. Port City Daily
- ➤ The DOJ approved $175 million in settlements on March 10 for service members exposed to contaminated water at Camp Lejeune, adding to over $421 million already paid. The program (part of the Camp Lejeune Justice Act) gives payments of $100,000 to $550,000 via the Elective Option process. FOX Wilmington
