  • Wilmington International Airport was evacuated after a bomb threat was reported at (8:50 p.m.) on March 12, but authorities confirmed the terminal was safe after a bomb squad sweep ended at (9:49 p.m.) and operations resumed.  FOX Wilmington

CULTURE NEWS

  • Wilmington's sealed city tunnels, built over 200 years ago, have sparked legends of treasure and secret meet-ups—even though experts say they were mainly used as drainage channels. The tunnels, now considered a safety risk, may soon be filled in to protect nearby structures — preserving a piece of local history.  WECT
