- ➤ Greenfield Lake Boat House reopened this week at Wilmington’s Greenfield Lake Park, offering kayak and paddleboat rentals despite a brief opening on Thursday due to windy conditions. Staff resumed eco-tours and rentals Friday at 11 a.m. with services available through Sunday. WHQR
- ➤ On Saturday, Corporal Dominic Davila (a Marine veteran who lost his right foot in Afghanistan) was honored at Winter Park Baptist Church by Homes for Our Troops as he prepares to move into a specially adapted forever home; construction will begin soon. WWAY
