- ➤ The 79th NC Azalea Festival will run April 8-12 in Wilmington and will crown actress Elaine Hendrix as Queen Azalea at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Battleship North Carolina — the event will feature a parade on Saturday, concerts, a downtown street fair, and garden and home tours. Wilmington Star-News
