- ➤ Mayfaire Town Center in Wilmington is hosting spring openings for several new businesses. Art in Bloom Gallery relocated to a larger space at 970 Inspiration Drive in early March to celebrate its 10th anniversary while Wrightsville Ave Boutique will hold its grand opening tomorrow and Drybar will open on April 10 — expanding the center's offerings — as part of its spring lineup. - ➤ FEAST Wilmington is underway with a kickoff party starting today during a weekend of food events. - ➤ The largest vessel to visit the Port City, the ZIM Mount Ranier, is set to arrive mid-week but will come in partly loaded because Wilmington’s channel is only 42 feet deep at low tide. - ➤ Researchers from Clean Cape Fear found that sea foam on New Hanover and Brunswick County beaches contains PFAS at levels in the hundreds of thousands to millions parts per trillion—far above safe limits—and experts warn the bright white foam, which resembles shaving cream, may harm local pets and children. They say the contamination is linked to discharges from a nearby Chemours facility and call on state regulators to take action. WECT
