- ➤ A Leland-based furniture company doing business as LeatherItaliaUSA admitted to inflating payroll numbers for PPP loan forgiveness—federal prosecutors said it will pay nearly $1.5 million in restitution and penalties and face a three-year prosecution deferral. WWAY
- ➤ Campbell Sales Group, doing business as Leather Italia USA, has agreed to pay nearly $1.5 million in restitution and penalties for fraudulently inflating its payroll on PPP loan applications—adding non-employees and increasing wages—to secure forgiveness on a $257,700 loan and an additional $213,006 loan while accepting a three-year prosecution deferral.
