- ➤ Greenfield Grind Skatepark will be renamed for pro skater Alec Chambers after the Naming and Facilities Committee unanimously approved the change on March 23. The new name honors his legacy after his tragic death last December. WHQR
- ➤ The Carolina Beach Inlet Association is hosting its 10th annual Chowder Cook Off this Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. at Good Hops Brewing to raise funds for keeping the inlet open; attendees may taste different chowders, enjoy live music, join 50/50 drawings, and bid on auction items. FOX Wilmington
