  • Veterans returned to Wilmington at Aero Center Wilmington on Saturday evening after traveling to Washington, D.C. for the Honor Flight of the Cape Fear Area, and locals gathered to honor 82 servicemen who served in World War II, Korea and Vietnam (with extra support from guardians and medical team members).  WWAY

  • Dr. Chris Barnes, superintendent of New Hanover County Schools, will present the final budget on April 28, which proposes narrowing a $2.5M shortfall to $485,445 + certifying four NC Pre-K classrooms at local schools as enrollment declines continue amid funding challenges.  WHQR

  • Residents in Wilmington can watch the Eta Aquariids meteor shower starting tonight, expected to show ten to thirty meteors per hour under dark skies — a full moon on May 1 may affect visibility.
