- ➤ Wilmington Police are searching for 14-year-old Raheim Jamar Isaiah Williams, last seen in the 400 block of Racine Drive, who is 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighs about 120 pounds, has black hair and brown eyes, is diagnosed with autism and may be wearing gray pants and red and black shoes—officials ask anyone with information to call police. - ➤ Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office is searching for 70 year old Randall Mark Green who was last seen on April 19 around Beachwood Drive in Calabash and is described as a 5 foot 10 white male with gray hair and green eyes wearing a burgundy shirt with white blotches while he may be driving a 2005 maroon Buick Terraza (with a South Carolina license plate) so anyone with information should call 911 or 910 253 2777. - ➤ UNCW creative writing students will perform live poetry readings inspired by native plants at Poetry at the Arboretum. The event will take place from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on May 2—featuring native plant displays that match each poem with its living counterpart. New Hanover County

- ➤ The Wilmington Fire Department has opened registration for its free Junior Fire Academy for 9th to 12th graders—participants will learn CPR, use a fire extinguisher and practice safety skills while trying on turnout gear, searching for a victim and facing a combat challenge at the WFD Headquarters. Sessions run from June 9th to 13th and July 7th to 11th and finish with a graduation ceremony and cookout. WECT

- ➤ New Hanover County resident Richard Clay, who suffers from spinal stenosis, said he benefited from the Medicaid Expansion Program after facing long-term pain and challenges in getting proper care.
