- ➤ Wrightsville Beach completed road improvement projects by adding new bike lanes on Causeway Drive and expanding the pedestrian loop on N Lumina Avenue — a step that aims to improve safety for residents and visitors. - ➤ A survey by the NC Police Benevolent Association found that nearly all Wilmington police officers are unhappy with their work environment, leadership, and pay. - ➤ New Hanover County commissioners will vote on Monday to approve an $11.6 million purchase of 60 acres at 3900 Independence Boulevard to preserve a forested green space in Wilmington.
