- ➤ The City of Wilmington is hosting its second Future Park Engagement Event to gather input on plans for a new park along Greenville Loop Road (Tuesday, May 26, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Bradley Creek Elementary School) with free food from local trucks. FOX Wilmington

- ➤ Founded in 1726, the Brunswick Town and Fort Anderson State Historic Site offers a 30-minute walk past mounds along Cape Fear — plaques and items share colonial, Civil War, and living history, and workers are inspecting St. Philip’s Church Graveyard into May to protect old graves. - ➤ UNC Wilmington is moving forward with plans to launch the state’s first new public medical school after the UNC Board of Governors approved the proposal on May 21. - ➤ Three Pines Project will host its first-ever Pine Time Classic volleyball fundraiser to support outdoor education for local families.
