- ➤ Novant Health in Wilmington now offers a leadless pacemaker procedure that is done by inserting a paperclip-sized device through a leg vein—reducing risks like infection and bleeding compared to traditional methods—and Keith Golden said the procedure takes 1 to 2 hours while the device works for up to 15 years.
