- ➤ The U.S. Postal Service has honored four people connected to Wilmington on postage stamps—architect Robert R. Taylor, baseball star Willie Stargell, tennis player Althea Gibson and President Woodrow Wilson. The stamps were issued between 1925 and 2015 to mark their achievements and ties to the Port City.
