  • CFCC has announced the opening of the 'Serious/Play' art exhibition + featuring student work from its Graphic Design, Simulation and Game Development and Economic Workforce Training programs. The exhibition is open to the public at the Wilma W. Daniels Gallery in Wilmington until August 1 with a reception on June 27 from 6 to 9 p.m.  WECT

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Construction on a new single-lane roundabout at River Road and Independence Boulevard in Wilmington will begin Monday, July 7. River Road will be closed between Operations Center Drive and Independence Boulevard for six months while northbound traffic turns right onto Independence Boulevard—improving traffic flow and safety.  WWAY
  • A credible bomb threat referencing an adjacent building led officials to evacuate the county Courthouse and Historic Courthouse during a New Hanover County commissioners meeting yesterday — the meeting later reconvened.  WECT
