- ➤ New Hanover County Main Library on Chestnut Street will close on August 4 to move its collection and equipment to a new modern facility on Grace Street opening in early October—residents may use the three branch libraries and the main library’s exterior book drop during the transition. - ➤ Local musician Bill Kerr performed at WECT’s Sounds of Summer series at Wrightsville Beach Park on Thursday with his band No Regretz — following his double lung transplant that saved his life after battling emphysema and COPD.
