- ➤ On Saturday, firefighters battled intense flames at Tommy’s RV Storage on Ash Little River Road in Calabash when several travel trailers burned—access was delayed by a locked gate and high heat complicated efforts—and crews contained the blaze in about an hour with no injuries while officials investigated a controlled burn that got out of hand. - ➤ Wilmington officials approved the second phase of the Greenville Loop Trail on July 15 at a cost of $3,864,253.74—construction will begin within two weeks and could take up to 9 months.
