- ➤ The Surf City Fire Department finished its preliminary investigation into the October 25th fire on North Shore Drive that caused the total loss of a home, one vehicle, and one boat—two injured firefighters have been cleared to return to work while investigators review the cause. WWAY

- ➤ The New Hanover County NAACP hosted a 'Souls to the Polls' march on Sunday to encourage residents to vote in early municipal elections. The march started on Red Cross Street and continued to Cape Fear Community College (with several electoral candidates in attendance) before ending at First Baptist Missionary Church (where food and fellowship were served).
