- ➤ Honor Flight of Cape Fear Area announced its fifth mission flight set for April 18, 2026 to Washington, DC to honor Veterans with an all-expenses-paid trip — community members will join the Welcome Home Celebration at ILM Airport when it returns — and applicants not chosen will join a waiting list. - ➤ UNCW invites the community to join the 'Campana Sobre Campana: Christmas in Mexico!' production, a reenactment of Mary and Joseph's journey that celebrates Mexican culture and holiday traditions (featuring songs in English and Spanish by Mariachi Garibaldi de Jaime Cuéllar and Ballet Folklórico del Río Grande) on Nov. 21 at 7:30 p.m. at Kenan Auditorium. - ➤ UNCW officials debunked social media rumors that Marines were targeted by fraternity members — they said UNCW Police worked with Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune and local law enforcement after receiving a few calls and emails, confirming the claims are unfounded. WWAY
- ➤ The New Hanover County Sheriff's Office announced its 22nd annual Make a Child Smile program that connects local children with sponsors who will provide a new outfit, shoes, a coat and three toys for each child. Community members must email Lieutenant W.L. Montjoy to join the program and drop off or schedule pickup of gifts by December 4th. WWAY

- ➤ ByHeart Inc. Whole Nutrition Infant Formula is being recalled nationwide after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration reported 15 suspected or confirmed infant botulism cases across 12 states, including North Carolina. Health officials advise parents to stop using the product, return or discard it, and record the lot number (they also urge cleaning surfaces that contacted the formula). WWAY
