- ➤ Strong thunderstorms hit Cape Fear Sunday, and a tree fell on a car in Murrayville near White Road and Alamosa Drive—damaging a fence, toppling trees in downtown Wilmington and nearby counties, knocking over tables and chairs at Anne Bonny’s Bar and Grill along the Riverwalk, and sending one person to the hospital as officials repaired a traffic light by the Isabel Holmes Bridge.
